to write
some eulogy
some words

i can't
i am lost
no words came
nothing

only tears fell
with trembling hands
i held
you little scans

how do i
say goodbye
that i may
somehow find solace

my child
my love
daddy is sorry
for what's been done

your presence
short-lived, eleven weeks
ended
just like that

i have yet
to name you
to hold you
to know your smell

it all came to naught
my child
the possibility of it all...
all things beautiful

my heart
twisted and wrenched
griefs and mourns
yearning for you

your heart
beating in mummy's tums
how we smiled
whenever we felt it

a wound was inflicted
and blood was shed
dreams shattered
and tears fell

now you are gone
never to be heard
nor felt
only tears remains

come to us in our dreams
whisper our names
we will know
its you

lead us to wide open fields
your mum and i
to where only love
exist

no pain
no tears
only joy
and love
